Before me was a terrace bathed in moonlight — a bed beautifully decorated with flowers, a soft rug beside it, and twinkling fairy lights that looked like stars had descended just for us. He took my hands in his hands and then we moved toward the bed. He sat down, pulled me gently into his lap, and said, “You always wanted to sleep in your future husband’s lap under the stars. So here you are — not just in his lap, but above his whole world, my cutie.”
