ABHIMANYUโS POVย
She wrapped her soft, warm lips around my fingers, sucking them gently after playfully nipping at the skin. The sight of her delicate lips caressing my fingers was captivating, stirring something deep within me. A slow, wicked smile curled on my lips as my mind wandered to thoughts of how one day, she might use that same sweet mouth on another part of me. The mere thought sent a jolt of anticipation through me. Her eyes flickered up to mine, brimming with unspoken desires, as she offered me a morsel of food, feeding me with the same tender care that seemed to pour naturally from her.
After dinner, we retreated to her room. As soon as we lay down, her eyes fluttered shut, and within minutes, she was fast asleep. It didn't take a genius to know the sleeping pills had kicked in again. I hated those pillsโwhat they did to her, how dependent she'd become. But she wouldn't listen to me. She never did when it came to her health. With a resigned sigh, I pulled her closer, wrapping my arms around her fragile frame, hoping to shield her from the nightmares that often plagued her sleep. Soon, I drifted off as well, lulled by the sound of her gentle breathing.
---
The dream was a foggy, surreal placeโa world made of thick, swirling white clouds that obscured everything. Somewhere in that haze, a voice called out, cutting through the mist like a sharp blade. "Angry bird!" The voice was achingly familiar, tugging at her heart.
Shivnya spun around, her eyes wide, searching desperately through the fog. "Advii?" she called back, her voice trembling with hope and fear. But all she could see was the endless swirl of white. The voice called out again, "Angry bird!" This time, it was closer, more urgent.
"Advii!" she cried out, the desperation in her voice growing. She strained her eyes, trying to pierce the thick fog, but it was like looking through a veil. Panic surged in her chest as she pleaded, "Where are you? Please, tell me where are you?"
Then, as if her pleading had conjured him, Advaith appeared before her, his face twisted with anger and sadness, a painful contrast to the boy she remembered. "You left me," he accused, his words heavy with betrayal.
"No, Advii! I'm here!" Shivnya's voice broke as she reached out towards him, her heart shattering at the sight of his pain. But the fog seemed to tighten around her, holding her back, keeping her just out of reach. "Advii, please! I'm right here, come to me!" she begged, her voice filled with a desperation that clawed at her soul.
Advaith's eyes darkened, filled with a bitterness that made her blood run cold. "You're a murderer. You killed me... and my mom." His words were like a knife to her heart, cutting deep, leaving her breathless with horror.
"No! It's not like that, Advii!" she cried, her voice trembling as she tried to explain, to reach him. But he only backed away, his face a mask of anger and disgust.
"I hate you. I'll never come near you again," he spat, his words filled with venom as he turned and ran, disappearing into the mist.
"Adviii!" Her scream tore through the dream, wrenching her from sleep. She bolted upright, her body drenched in sweat, her heart hammering wildly in her chest. Gasping for air, she glanced at her husband, still peacefully asleep beside her. Not wanting to disturb him, she carefully slipped out of bed, her hands trembling as she reached for a hidden phone and dialed a number, her body still shaking from the nightmare.
---
I woke up the moment she left the bed. Something was wrong. Her movements were too frantic, too desperate. Concern gripped me, and I quietly followed her, my heart pounding in my chest. From the shadows, I watched as she made a call, her voice laced with raw anger and determination, emotions I rarely saw in her.
"I'm going to meet Advaith," she hissed into the phone, her tone icy and resolute. "The minute I land in Mumbai, I'm going to find him. And you won't stop me... Do you understand? It's been a month since my marriage, and I'm not waiting any longer. If I can't see him, I swear I'll kill all the security and set your house on fire," she threatened, her voice trembling with rage as she ran her fingers through her hair, her frustration palpable. "This is my last warning, Mr. Viren. Send me the reports, or I'll take legal action."
My blood ran cold. She was talking to her grandfather, and the venom in her voice... I'd never heard her speak like that before. Raghu Uncle had warned me not to bring up Advaith, to let her come to me when she was ready. Now I understand why. One wrong word could set her off, push her further into this darkness. Suddenly, she collapsed to the floor, her body wracked with silent sobs, her strength seemingly drained.
I rushed to her side, my heart aching as I watched her break down. She tried to wipe her tears away when she saw me, but the pain in her eyes was undeniable, raw and overwhelming. Without a word, I scooped her up in my arms, holding her as if she might shatter at any moment. I carried her to the couch, cradling her as if she were the most precious thing in the world. Her body trembled against mine, and she clung to me as if I were her lifeline, her fear so palpable it was suffocating.
"Please, don't ever leave me. Please," she whispered, her voice so small, so broken that it nearly tore me apart. I felt her desperation, her fear of abandonment, and it cut deep, making me wish I could take all her pain away.
"Jaan, what happened?" I asked softly, my voice filled with concern and love. I tried to coax her into meeting my gaze, to share with me whatever was haunting her, but she only burrowed deeper into my chest, her tears soaking my shirt as she shivered uncontrollably.
"Please... don't leave me," she repeated, her voice trembling, each word a plea that broke my heart a little more. Her vulnerability was both heartbreaking and humbling, and I pulled her closer, desperate to protect her from whatever demons were tormenting her.
I gently lifted her into my lap, cupping her face in my hands as I wiped away her tears. "Come here," I murmured, my voice soft, tender." Bache Shhh... calm down, my love. I'm here, right here with you. Nothing will ever separate us. You and I, we're together forever, okay?"
She looked at me, her tear-filled eyes searching mine, desperate for reassurance. "You won't leave me?" she asked again, her voice trembling with a vulnerability that tore at my heart.
I brushed my thumb over her cheek, wiping away the tears that continued to flow. "Never, love," I promised, holding her gaze, pouring all the love I felt for her into my words.
I continued wiping them off, rubbing my hand on her back, and asked again, "Aapko hum par taras nahi aata?" She looked at me with a pout and a confused look. I pulled her closer, lifting her chin up, boring my eyes into hers as she kept her hand on mine. I said softly, in a complaining voice, "Aap aise ro jaati hai ,ย aapki in ankho se ye joo aansu nikalte hai ,ย Aapki in ankho se zyada humare dil ko takleef dete hai. Aapke ye aansu....hume zakham dete h, aise na roya kariye hum h toh shi aapke sath kisi cheez ki tension mt lijiye , kyuki aap Ko iss baat ka zara bhi andaza nahi hai ki aapki in geeli ankho ko dekh kar hume marne ka maan karta hai ki humare hote hue bhi aap rooti haiโ"
( Don't you feel sad for me ?? )
( when you cry like this, and those tears comes out from your eyes they don't hurt your eyes that much that they give to my heart , these tears whenever they flow they give me wounds please don't cry like this , i am with you and don't take tension also about anything , because you don't have any idea that wheneverย i see these wet eyes i feel like dying that when i'm alive also you cry like this and i can't stop you from cryingย )
She placed a trembling finger on my lips, silencing me, her voice now laced with a soft, affectionate scolding, but this time her tears didn't roll; they just gathered in her eyes, "How many times have I told you not to talk about death? Doesn't it scare you, the thought of being away from me? And don't you know by now, nothing scares me more than that , and now you don't even scare from my warnings "
I chuckled softly at her words, despite the seriousness of the situation. Her worry, her fear, it was all because she loved me so deeply, and that knowledge filled me with warmth. "Not even your Mahadev could separate us. So, enough with these tears, Jaan, say bye bye to your tears , because as long as I'm with you, you'll never have a reason to cry. And as for your fears, remember how much I love you... and how much I fear losing you and still I am fear from your warnings "
A small smile tugged at her lips, and she let out a soft, shaky laugh, her grip around my neck tightening as she finally began to relax. I continued to rub her back, stroke her hair, feeling her calm down in my arms.ย I know how difficult it is for her not to meet her love. I know it's just an illness, but if she considers him her love, I will not say something, with the weight of her guilt and her fears. It was a battle between her heart and her mind, but at the end of the day, I knew one thing for certain: she was mine. And all I wanted, all I needed, was to see my wife happy.
SHIVNYAโS POVย
After a while, I reluctantly stood from his lap, a contented smile on my face. The peace I felt was a welcome relief, but I couldn't ignore the lingering pain in my heart about Advii. I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts, and headed to the bathroom to take a bath. As I emerged from the shower, I saw Abhimanyu sitting there, his presence a comforting sight. I began to dry my hair as he went to use the bathroom. Slipping into formal black clothes, I laid out an outfit for Abhimanyu. Suddenly, the doorbell rang, breaking the tranquility. I glanced back, hoping Abhimanyu would answer, but he hadn't come out yet. While putting on my earrings, I went to open the door and found Rishi and Vikram standing there.
"Good morning, ma'am," they greeted, their voices filled with respect.
I nodded and asked, "Is everything ready?"
"Yes, ma'am," they responded in unison. Rishi added with a determined glint in his eyes, "We came to go over the plan with you."
I glanced back towards the room and instructed, "You go to study. I'll be there in a moment."
Quickly grabbing my phone, I joined them in the study. They were in the midst of detailing the plan when we heard Abhimanyu's voice echoing through the suite , "Baby, Shivuuu, where are you?" A wave of shyness washed over me as I noticed Vikram and Rishi exchanging knowing smirks. I maintained a poker face, trying to appear unaffected, as Abhimanyu entered the living room, clad only in a towel around his waist and another he was using to dry his hair. His entire body glistened with water, accentuating his chiseled physique. They both chuckled softly, and before I could tell them to leave, they said, "Ma'am, all narrations are done. We should go."
Though we were only halfway through the narration, I nodded slightly, and we all stepped out. Abhimanyu spotted us, and Rishi grinned, "Good morning, sir."
Abhimanyu looked at both of them, and before he could respond, Rishi asked with a mischievous smile, "Sir, when did you come?"
"Last night," Abhimanyu replied casually, his demeanor unbothered by their teasing. Both men smirked, and I felt a rush of embarrassment. In a curt tone, I said, "I think you both are getting late."
They both took the hint and started to move but Rishi turned and smirked complimented " Sir you looked hot " and left. Both of us were stunned and abimanyu chuckled , while I was in shock, turning to Abhimanyu, I asked sternly, "Why did you come out like this?"
"I didn't know they were here," he replied, a hint of sheepishness in his voice.
I sighed, "Fine, go and get ready. I'll review the files."
He nodded and left, and I focused on the files. Barely ten minutes had passed when I heard, "Shivuuu, jaan, baby, biwi." I hurried back to the room, exasperated, "Aayi baba, you can't even wait a second." As I entered, he pulled me into his arms, his hold firm yet gentle, "Why do you go away from me?"
His hands rested on my hips, pulling me closer. "What is it?" I asked, a mix of curiosity and exasperation in my voice.
He leaned in, his face inches from mine, "Tie."
I made an "o" face, furrowing my brows, "But you never wear one."
He smiled, a twinkle in his eyes as he explained, "It's not like that. I wear it for important occasions and special meetings."
I pouted, "Oh, so you don't know how to tie it?"
He chuckled, his laughter like a soothing balm, "It's not like that, jaan."
I tried to pull away, irritated, "Then tie it yourself. I have other things to do."
He made a sad face, his eyes downcast, "Never mind, it's okay."
I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. I cupped his face and my thumb pad was creasing his beard. "What's wrong?"
He looked at me, his eyes filled with love, "I promised myself I would only wear a tie if you put it on me."
I was touched by his sentiment. "But what does that mean?"
With a determined look, he replied, "I don't know, but it was a wish of mine."
I smiled, feeling the warmth of his words, "Okay, I'll help you."
Taking the tie, I tried to put it on him but whined, "You're so tall, howโ" Before I could finish, he sat down on the bed, snuggling his face into my stomach. I tied the tie around his neck, gently lifting his chin to make him look at me, "Now you help me. I have to wear mangalsutra and sindoor. Help me hide them."
He stood up, his tone casual, "So don't wear them."
I shook my head, "No, no, help me, please," and handed him the mangalsutra.
"Okay, fine, come here," he said, pulling me close. As I stood in front of him, he carefully helped me hide the mangalsutra and sindoor. His face nuzzled into my neck, breathing in the scent of my hair. I laughed softly, "What about the rings?"
He held me tighter, as if trying to meld our bodies together, "I will not remove it."
I chuckled, "I'll wear it on another finger."
After switching the ring, I said, "Let's go."
With great reluctance, we separated, and hand in hand, we went on our way.
AUTHORโS POVย
As Shivnya and Abhimanyu stepped into the meeting room, the air between them crackled with an electric tension that only they could perceive. While others discussed business strategies and market gains, Abhimanyu's gaze was a warm, unwavering light fixed solely on her. He couldn't help but admire how she commanded the roomโher confidence radiating like a beacon, pulling him in even amidst the chaos of negotiations.
When the meeting concluded and people rose for the customary handshakes, Abhimanyu felt a surge of determination. He made a beeline for Shivnya, the rest of the room fading into the background. As their hands met, a jolt of warmth shot through him. It was a touch that spoke volumes, one that sent a ripple of curiosity and confusion through the onlookers. The subtle curve of her lips, the way her eyes sparkled with mischiefโit was as if they shared a secret language that only they could understand.
At brunch, the table was alive with chatter, and everyone assumed Shivnya would take her usual seat beside her bodyguard and personal assistant. But today, she surprised them all, gliding toward Abhimanyu and settling into the chair beside him. The shift in dynamics was palpable; her presence lit up the space between them. Their connection was electric, a soft intimacy woven into the fabric of their conversation.
Abhimanyu watched her with a mixture of admiration and longing as she delicately picked at her food, her laughter ringing like music in his ears. Every glance they shared was charged with unspoken words, every laugh a promise of deeper connection. As brunch continued, she suddenly stood, her voice breaking through the moment. "I have some work. Enjoy the food."
"I have some work too," Abhimanyu replied, rising to follow her. Confusion washed over the room like a wave, the whispers intensifying. Eyes darted between Rishi and Vikram, who seemed unbothered as they continued their meal. One bold business partner leaned forward, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Are they... a thing?"
Rishi, never one to shy away from confrontation, responded with an authoritative tone, "If you want to remain at this table, I suggest you keep your mouth shut."
Vikram added with a chilling smirk, "Stuff your mouth with food, or I'll make sure it's stuffed with something elseโlike a bullet."
The room fell into a tense silence, the atmosphere thick with unspoken questions.
---
Meanwhile, Shivnya and Abhimanyu entered their private suite, the world outside melting away as they closed the door behind them. Inside, the air was heavy with anticipation and a sweet, intoxicating intimacy. Abhimanyu leaned against the wall, watching her as she moved, her silhouette casting a spell of enchantment in the dim light.
"Baby, what should I wear tonight?" she asked, holding up two dresses. One was a striking deep red, the other a sleek black that accentuated her figure. She tilted her head, the playful glint in her eyes igniting something deep within him.
"The black one," he replied, his voice low and husky. "It'll wrap around your curves like a dream." The sincerity in his words made her heart race, and she couldn't help but smile, the warmth of his compliment enveloping her like a soft embrace.
Shivnya laughed, tossing the black dress onto the bed before pulling out a matching tuxedo for him. The ease of their banter filled the space with a warmth that felt almost tangible.
As they dressed, she moved to the vanity to apply her makeup, but before she could begin, Abhimanyu appeared behind her, a mischievous spark in his eyes. "Let me," he murmured, his voice deep and velvety, sending a shiver down her spine.
His fingers brushed her lips as he carefully applied the lipstick, a soft intimacy blooming between them. Each touch was deliberate, a sacred ritual as if he were savoring every moment. He added a hint of blush, his fingers grazing her skin like whispers of a promise. The world around them faded; all that mattered was the warmth of his body close to hers, the sound of their breaths mingling in the air.
"Wifey," he whispered, leaning down to press his forehead against hers, their breaths intertwining, "I think I should learn makeup too... just for you."
Shivnya's heart swelled at his playful declaration. "Are you planning to master everything that will make me fall deeper in love with you?" she teased, her voice laced with affection.
He pulled her closer, hands sliding to her hips, their bodies fitting together like two pieces of a puzzle. "Absolutely," he murmured, his lips ghosting over her cheek. "Now... close your eyes."
With a mixture of curiosity and excitement, she complied, her heart racing in anticipation.
A soft sound filled the air as he opened a small box. Suddenly, she felt the cool touch of metal on her collarbone. Startled, she instinctively reached up to touch it, and her breath hitched. "Abhi... is this a pendant?"
His chuckle resonated in the space between them, warm and tender. "Yes, wifey. Open your eyes."
When she did, her heart fluttered at the sight of a stunning half-white moon pendant resting against her skin, glinting with a soft glow. Overwhelmed with emotion, she looked up at him, her eyes shimmering with joy.
"But... you've already given me so much," she whispered, her voice filled with wonder as she wrapped her arms around him.
Abhimanyu cradled her face in his hands, his gaze deep and sincere. "And I'll keep giving, always. You're mine, Shivnya. You deserve the world, and I'll make sure you get it."
With tears of happiness threatening to spill, she hugged him tightly, feeling safe and cherished in his embrace. "I love you," she murmured against his shoulder, her heart soaring.
He kissed her forehead gently, lingering for a moment, his breath warm against her skin. "I love you too," he replied, the sincerity in his voice wrapping around her like a warm blanket.
In that moment, the world outside ceased to exist. Time stood still as they held each other close, the rhythm of their hearts beating in sync. But as the evening approached, reality crept back in, reminding them of the party waiting. With one last lingering glance in the mirror, they prepared to face the night together, hearts intertwined.
