11. HEART ATTACK

AUTHORโ€™S POVย

"Jab m pregnant thi toh mere twins hone waale the meri pregnancy bhot complicated thi jiski wajah se doctor ne hume warn kiya tha par humne kha ki hum manage kar lenge but....." Ridhimaa was explaining to her in between her sobs.

( When I was pregnant, I was going to have twins. My pregnancy was very complicated, and the doctor warned us, but we said we would manage )

"Jab humari delivery ka waqt aaya toh wo sirf tumhe bacha paye, humare dusre bache ko nahi or wo ek ladka tha. Hume ussi din se tumse nafrat hogyi thi," she said and hugged Shaurya and cried on his chest, and there Shivnya was shocked to hear them; she was not able to understand what her mother said.

( When it was time for our delivery, they could only save you, not our other child, and he was a boy. I have hated you since that day. )

"Manhoos ho tum," Madhu shouted at her.

( You are cursedย  )

"Madhu, have you gone mad?" Viren warned her.

"Be quiet," she said to Viren.

"Tumne pehle humara khandan ka varis ko maar dala or phir humari beti ko, tum jaisi ko toh zinda maar daalna chaiye, manhoos ho tum, manhoos, RAJVANSHI ke naam par ek kaalank," she said and went near to her and spit on her leg.

( You first killed the heir of our family and then our daughter. Someone like you should be killed alive; you are cursed, a stain on the name of RAJVANSHI. )

"Daadi."
( Grandmaย  )

"Mom, what is happening, and that baby?" Aarav went to his mother and held her hands. Until then, Viren received a call and was speaking.

"Haa beta, ye sab sach hai," Shaurya said.
( Yes, son, this is all true )

"Okay, if we don't think emotionally and come to practicality, you should have been happy that at least one of your children is alive."

"Haan, hume hona chaiye tha par hum nahi ho paaye, humare upar tumhari dadi ke shabd hi rah gaye, hume yaad aaj bhi hain unke wo shabd, ki hum apne ek bete ko kho chuke hain, kahi hum tumhe bhi na kho de unke inn shabdon se hum daar gaye the beta," Yuvantika said with a guilt in her tone.

( Yes, we should have, but we couldn't. Your grandmother's words still haunt us; we still remember her words, that we lost one son. We feared we might lose you too because of those words, son. )

"Or aapko hum nahi dikhe, hum taraste the aapke pyaar ke liye, hum aapke kamre ke bahar khade rehte the pure pure din sirf aapki ek jhalak paane ke liye, hum raat ko intezaar karte the aapka ki aap aayenge or humse baat karenge, aapko humare rona nahi suna diya, aapko humari tadap nahi dikhi, aapko humara dard nahi dikha, aapko hum par taras nahi aaya, aapko apne dukh ke aage kuch nahi dikha aapko, hum tab bhi nahi dikhe jab hum ICU m admit the hum maut ke itne kareeb the tab bhi aap nahi aaye," Shivnya roared on all of them with moist eyes and a heavy heart. Her heart was broken into a million pieces because she was getting the punishment of that crime which she didn't even commit.

( And you couldn't see me . I longed for your love. I stood outside your room all day just to catch a glimpse of you. I waited for you at night to come and talk to me. You didn't hear me cry, you didn't see my agony, you didn't feel for me, you couldn't see anything beyond your own sorrow. You didn't even see me when I was admitted to the ICU, so close to death, yet you didn't come...)

"Dad."

"Dadu."

( Grandfather )

VIREN GOT A HEART ATTACK.

They all rushed to help Viren as he suffered a major heart attack. Kamini and Yuvantika called for assistance while Raghuveer checked his pulse. Viren was taken to the hospital for surgery. Shivnya remained motionless until someone tapped her on the shoulder, making her aware of her surrounding

"Ms. Rajvanshi," he called softly, standing opposite her.

"Huh?" She came to her senses.

"Chale," he asked.
( Let's go )

"Yes," she said, and Abhimanyu followed her.

At the hospital, Viren was in the operation theater. Aayansh, Divit, Nandini, and Moksh were with Sanj, while all the Rathore ladies stayed at the villa. The rest of the family waited anxiously for the doctor. When the doctor came out, he informed them that Viren's surgery was successful, and he would regain consciousness soon.

Shivnya tried to approach his room, but her grandmother stopped her.

"Dur raho tum humare parivaar se! Humne tumse pehle bhi kaha hai, tumhare wajah se humne bohot kuch khoya hai, par ab nahi. Nikl jao yaha se tum!" Madhu shouted in front of everyone.

( Stay away from our family! I have told you before, I have lost a lot because of you, but not anymore. Get out of here )

The room fell silent in shock, but no one contradicted her. Shivnya jerked her hand free and stormed out to the passage.

"Dadi, yaha toh chup ho jayiye," Aarav said, trying to follow his sister but was stopped by his mother.

( Grandma, please be quiet here )

Shivnya went to the washroom and locked the door. She splashed water on her face and neck to calm her nerves. The truth of not getting the love of her mother and father was now revealed; another person's death came on her head, but she didn't do anything, but the fear of another death only increased her terror. She sat on the floor, leaning against the door, and cried her heart out.

Someone knocked on the door.

"Ms. Rajvanshi?" he called, and she hummed in response, moving near the tap to wash her face again.

"Are you okay?" he asked. She hummed again, wiping her face.

"Are you sure?" he asked again.

"Aapke dadu ko hosh aagaya hai," he said. And she hummed again, clenching the tap.

( Your grandfather is awakeย  )
~~

Ajay and Viren were childhood friends and members of a secret society and mafia. Due to increasing rivalry and concerns for their families, they decided to leave that life behind.

Ajay, coming from a royal family with a history of helping people, his father was the king of rajput kingdom but later with the time they ended the ruling system and distributed all the property to the people because of this all the people of their kingdom always respected them and gave them the title of THE MAHARAJ .

Ajay didn't have any interest in this because of which his father has to do this later ajay accepted his position and after Ranveer was 18 he gave him the position and the people gave him the title RAJA SA , he ruled the kingdom very marvelously helping all the people in every way possible but after abhimanyu turned 18 he also gave his position to him and the people gave him the title RANA SA , abhimanyu never expressed his emotions in front of any people except his family he adore his family a lot , he is ruthless business and a heartless mafia also but from the day when he saw his love he started to behave kindly at least with his family.

Viren, already successful in his underworld ventures, both moved on from their pasts. Ajay focused on his family business and other ventures across India, as well as viren also continued with the ventures across the world . They never returned to their previous lives. They met Raghuveer in their college days and from that day he was also their best friend but he never joined the mafia and secret society .

"Dekho, main ab ki baar koi risk nahi lene wala hu apni bachi ke saath. Hume usse underground karwana hoga," Viren said in tension.

( Look, I'm not going to take any risks with my granddaughter this time. We need to make her go undergroundย  )

"As if that will happen," Aaditya said mockingly.

"I have a way. She will never refuse that," Viren said.

"You will not blackmail my daughter like that," Raghuveer shouted.

"She is my daughter," Shaurya said sternly.

"Viren, tum ise kamre se bahar nikaloge ya hum nikalte hain. Baap banne chala hai ab ye," Raghuveer said, eyeing Shaurya.

( Viren, you will take her out of the room or we will leave. Now this one is trying to be a father )

"Uncle," Shaurya shouted.

"Guys, calm down," Moksh said.

"If you have any other way, tell me. Do you think she will agree to anything else?" Viren said.

"She won't agree," Raghuveer said disheartened.

"But dad, she won't stay underground either. She's not a child," Moksh said with crossed arms.

"Aur bhoolo mat, tumse zyada woh uss kutte ko dhoond rahi hai. Agar usse kisi bhi haalat mein pata laga ki woh bahar ghoom raha hai toh?" Raghuveer said angrily.

( And don't forget, she's looking for that dog more than you are. What if she finds out in any situation that he's roaming outside )

"Then you all tell me, what should I do?" Viren said defeatedly.

" I have a solution, " Raghuveer said meekly.

" What?" Viren asked with a questioning face.

"Par usme Ajay, hume tumhari sabse zyada madad chahiye hogi," Raghuveer said, moving closer to Ajay.

( But in this, Ajay, we will need your help the most )

"Aree bol, emotional drama mat kar," Ajay said in a bored tone.

( Come on, just say it, don't create emotional dramaย  )

"Hume Shivnya aur Abhimanyu ki shaadi karwa deni chahiye," Raghuveer said in a low tone.

( We should get Shivnya and Abhimanyu married )

"WHAT?" Shaurya exclaimed.

"Haan," Raghuveer replied.

( Yes )

"Waah, kitni logical baat ki hai saale tune. Jaise woh yeh maan jayegi," Viren said in anger.

( Wow, what a logical thing you've said. As if she will agree to this )

"See, tum usse underground kar nahi sakte ho aur ghar par rehne ke liye kahoge toh tumhe pata hai woh kitna hi rahegi. So hum uski shaadi karwa dete. Waise bhi uski age ho gayi hai," Raghuveer said with concern.

( Look, you can't make her go underground, and if you tell her to stay at home, you know how long she will stay. So let's get her married. Anyway, she's of age )

"Really? Par usse Shivnya ki safety kaise related hai? Woh Shivnya ke peeche tab bhi rahega," Moksh countered.

( Really? But how is this related to Shivnya's safety? He will still be behind Shivnya )

"Haan, ik but tab uske paas Ajay ki family hogi. Woh uske saath rahegi toh hume tension kam se kam hogi. And Abhimanyu uske saath hoga, woh usse sambhal lega. Tum shaadi ke baad kuch rasam se related usse Rajasthan le jana apne saath, kuch dinon ke liye. Itne hum yaha sab sambhal lenge," Raghuveer explained.

( Yes, but then she will have Ajay's family with her. She will stay with them, so our tension will be less at least. And Abhimanyu will be with her, he will take care of her. You can take her to Rajasthan for some rituals after the wedding, for a few days. We all will manage things hereย  )

Everyone realized the practicality of his plan

"Sorry uncle, but main shaadi ke liye raazi nahi hu," Ranveer said sternly, and everyone looked at him questioningly.

( Sorry uncle, but I'm not okay with the marriage )

"Dekhiye, main har condition mein aapke saath hoon, par main uske liye apne bete ko aise hi use nahi hone dunga. Uski zindagi ka sawal hai. Agar woh haan kahega tabhi yeh shaadi hogi," Ranveer declared.

( Look, I'm with you under every condition, but I won't let my son be used like that for her. It's a matter of his life. If he agrees, then only this marriage will happen )

Raghuveer chuckled and said, "Beta, jaa pehle apne bete se puchh ke aa."

( Son, go and ask your son firstย  )

"Matlab?" Ranveer asked in shock.

( What do you mean? )

"Abe, woh deewana hai humari Shivnya ke peeche, ab bhi or bachpan m bhi," Raghuveer said, and Ajay and Viren chuckled while everyone looked at him in disbelief.

( Come on, he has been crazy about our Shivnya since childhoodย  )

"Acha theek hai, par Shivnya haan karegi?" Moksh asked.

( Okay, but will Shivnya agree? )

"Woh toh underground hone ke liye bhi haan nahi karegi, aur uski tension hume nahi leni chahiye. Iske liye Viren hai," Raghuveer said mockingly.

( She won't even agree to go underground, and we shouldn't take her tension. For this, we have Viren )

"Acha theek hai. Baaki ki baatein hum baad mein karenge. Abhi tum rest karo," Ajay said, and everyone left the room.

( Alright then. We'll talk about the rest later. For now, you rest )

ABHIMANYUโ€™S POVย

Shivnya came out of her room and went to her chachi. All the ladies and the rest of us were preparing to go home to pack. Yes, packing-we're going back home.

Kamini aunty, Yuvantika aunty, and her dadi went in one car. Yuvraj, Tanmay, Aarav, and Avni went in another. Now, only Shivnya and I were left.

" Ms. Rajvanshi ," I said, and she hummed in response. " Chle ." She moved toward the car.

( let's gooย  )

I opened the car door for her, and she settled down. I got in on my side, and we drove to the villa in silence. Her head rested against the window, and she sat quietly. When we reached the villa, I got out and went around to open her door carefully since she was leaning on it. I offered my hand for support, but she, being Shivnya Rajvanshi, didn't rely on anyone.

We entered the villa, and she immediately began instructing the staff to pack everything up since we were leaving.

SHIVNYAโ€™S POVย

I sat in Abhimanyu's car. He didn't even talk to me-not a single word. He could have at least asked how I was feeling, but no, he stayed silent. I know I overreacted about what happened earlier, and my reaction wasn't great, but still... I wanted to share my feelings with someone. Nevertheless, I was the one at fault.

We arrived at the villa, and I went to my chamber. Sanj was awake.

"Diii," Sanj said as I sat near her. I hummed in response.

"How is Dadu?" she asked.

"He's fine," I replied.

"Diii, I..." she began, but I interrupted her.

"Shhh, rest now. Ayansh, Divit, you both start packing; we're leaving tomorrow."

After spending hours working in my study and packing my things, I returned to my room. Sanj was asleep with Chachi. I took a quilt and my medicine and went to the couch. I took a sleeping pill to help me rest.

Everyone finished packing and boarded the bus to the hospital and then to the airport. During the quiet flight, Shivnya chose to sit alone at the back of the jet, avoiding conversation.

Upon landing, they all went their separate ways to their cars. Rishi and a driver waited for Shivnya in her car.

"I want to talk to all of you, so we are going to Rajvanshi Mansion first," Viren said, but Shivnya ignored him.

"All means all, Shivnya. You too, and I'm not going to repeat myself," Viren said sternly.

They all went to Rajvanshi Mansion. Rishi went to the office, and Shivnya went to the mansion. Everyone sat in the hall.

"I have an announcement to make," Viren said, and now everyone was curious.

"Ajay and I have decided that... Shivnya and Abhimanyu... should get married," Viren said with a poker face.

"Wh-what?" Shivnya choked on air.

"Really, Dadaji? Are you serious?" Aarav asked, surprised.

"Yes," Viren confirmed.

"I want to talk to you privately," Shivnya said, fuming with anger.

"Sure," he said, and they both went to his room.

"Dadaji, you can't do this to me. I can't marry him; you know I love Advaith," Shivnya said angrily.

"Yes, I know. But do you know where Advaith is recently?" Viren asked with a poker face.

"In the safe place," Shivnya replied confidently.

"No, he's under my supervision. If you don't marry Abhimanyu, then..." he trailed off, sitting down.

"Dadaji, you can't do this to me. You know how much I love him. You're using him as a weapon against me," she said, kneeling at his feet, a tear escaping her eye.

"I have to," he said, avoiding eye contact.

"I'm not going to marry him," she said, raging as she stood up.

"Then you won't see Advaith again, nor know his medical condition," Viren said coldly. Deep down, he was also helpless and ashamed of what he had to do.

"Please, I'm begging you. You can't do this to me," she pleaded, her voice breaking.

"You know what I can do, because everything is in my hands," he said, his face expressionless but his heart aching.

"I always thought you were on my side, but no, you used me like a tissue paper," she roared. Viren wasn't shocked; he knew the family's actions had led to this.

"It's settled. You're marrying Abhimanyu. After one month of marriage, you can meet Advaith. Until then, you'll only get updates on his health," he said coldly. Shivnya stormed out.

She rejoined the group and sat on the sofa.

"Diii, are you really getting married?" Divit asked.

"Diii, say something," Sanj urged.

"Yes, say something, dii," Aayansh added, giving a look to their grandfather.

"Shivnya!" Viren shouted, shocking everyone, as he had never raised his voice at her before.

"Yes, I will marry him," Shivnya said, unable to make eye contact with anyone. The situation made her feel like garbage. She turned to leave, but stopped when she heard Janvi's outburst.

"No, she won't! Abhimanyu and I love each other. She can't come between us!" Janvi shouted, leaving everyone stunned. Before Abhimanyu could say anything, Madhu interjected.

"Yes, we'll find another boy for Shivnya. Abhimanyu should marry Janvi," Madhu said, and Shivnya left the mansion in anger.
